Rosacea is a skin condition that is characterized by excessive redness. Small red pus-filled bumps may also appear on the skin that almost looks like acne. Oily skin can also affect the frequency and severity of rosacea as well. Those who have rosacea may experience it in the centre of the face, cheeks, eyebrows and groin.
Other factors such as irritating food, sunlight, long-term steroidal cream applications can also cause rosacea as well. Typical treatment of rosacea includes oral antibiotics as well as topical creams but are only preventative and do not always provide permanent results. Treating rosacea is a long process that requires careful treatment and patience to produce long-term results.
